The Jazz Bear is not a typical mascot. You can sometimes see him riding a motorcycle down the freeway! Incredible staple in the Utah community. I would never have expected a mascot to get so many people to care about him as he has. Incredible athleticism, stunning ability to get shock value (see the freeway comment above), and solid humor that is hard to top.

Jazz Bear is a mainstay in our community for over 20 years. Here are just a few
of the stories that were done to support him. All 4 networks did stories on the
Mascot of the Year; as did many local radio stations and also the Utah Jazz, and
let's not forget all of the fans and friends of our local HERO....The Jazz
Bear.

Jazz gained 24,000 votes in 3 days. In the last 36 hours he gained less than 500. Where are all those voters? I guess they really didn't exist because voting workaround was created to override the one vote per device per day. Rowdy should be named the winner.
